View Full Version : Concept art - hero
First design ... some changes have been made.
Second design ... this is what is needed.
Profile of gun
Scale with other characters
Just wondering is anyone modeling the main hero yet?
I would like to give it a shot (after I finish the mobile home) if its still unclaimed.
Also an idea:
If he lives in a trailer park maybe he should have a mullet.
He doesn't live there ... he's just protecting it.
ohh okay sorry about that.

I wouldn't mind taking a stab at the Hero, though I do use Maya. Not sure if that would cause a problem. Drop me a line either way, I'd love to help out where I can.

I had mentioned earlier in the first thread that I was going to model the hero. I don't want to step on anyone's toes. I'm working in LW but I can export FBX or object files.
yeah I never really claimed it cause I wasnt really 100% sure. Was just wondering thats all.
but if its yours its yours dude.
this is a colab not a greedlab.
the more people the better is the way I look at it.

Thanks JIII, I'm still getting my "sea-legs" as far as whats what in this. I'm roughing out the body shape right now. I'll post a progress as soon as I have something.
The concept is up for grabs. If you all want to model him that's fine. We'll just pick the one that looks closest to the concept and animates well.
I don't want to turn any of this into a competition, but if you haven't figured it out yet ... I'm a stickler for quality. :D
I want this to be one of the best shorts produced over the net, which means ... only the best models are being used.
So go for it and start posting some progress. :wip:

WHOO HOO! Thanks for the sketches they will be alot of help. Look out for some updates!
My first illustration made with Adobe Illustrator :D Hopefully this explains how the gun functions. Only thing that I thought of changing after I got done was the front part of the bottom barrel. It looks superglued to the gun. Modellers should create a more sturdy housing around this part. I'll update the image later ... busy month :argh:
Very nice - Very Nice indeed.
I'll get cracking.
