Hi all, I am new in here.. First of all, Sorry for my bad english. Anyway, I have been working on a mini school assignment.. I am having problem with rigging a character now.. The main problem is happen on the joint between shoulder and upper arm.. also between upper leg and the pelvis, and the butt...I got three links below for the picture that could help understand what I mean..
Btw I am using physique..
I have spent like 6 hours to try to solve the problem.. but i still can't figure out how.. (sigh)Thank you all ~

Hi..I saw the jpegs...i feel u shud use skin modifier because with the help of that u can weight the vertices which will result in smooth and nice deformation of the mesh.hope this helps u...any further help u want..mail me (

These are standard problems for all rigs. You definately need to work on the skinning more. I would suggest changing from using physique to the skin modifier though.

Hmmm... Max has a build in pose space deformer.
You can sculpt your deformations on problem areas like shoulders.
Look for skin morph in the manual.

....But first try to get as good results as possible with pure skinnig.

Is the pose space deformer compatible with exporting to a game engine?
