View Full Version : creating a fractal typed bump-map via mel/api

Hi there;

I want to create a bump map of type fractal for example, on a terrain of my scene via using some mel commands or using the API. I have looked at the scripts of mel that are produced at the script editor, while creating and so ataching the fractal bump-map via using the Maya user interface.
But couldn't figured out how it can be done via executing some scripts?

any ideas and start-ups will be appreciated on this texture assigning procedures a lot :)

by the way I want to mention that I am trying to make it work from outside the Maya user interface.
