Hi~ everyone,

I am looking for some Hi-Resolution photos to do some matte painting exercises.
Just wondering where you guys usually search for those hi- res pictures? are there any good photo sites? Flickr.com maybe?

Thanks in advance.

If you are doing some high end comercial work (which I take you are not at this stage) then nothing beats your own camera. You will find that professional matte painters snap their own pics, and build their own libraries. It results in control and unique plates. If not you can buy high resolution stock photos from various websites.

For now, the best place is not google images, but www.everystockphoto.com ;) It's great, although I am not sure how much of the content is technically allowed for comercial work and whatnot. But, for just a bit of fun and getting into matte painting, its far better than google images.

Happy painting :)
