View Full Version : Professional Music for your Demo Reels!

03 March 2003, 04:02 PM
Hi all together!

Please let me introduce ourselves: we are two professional music companies producing for the german computer game developer scene and multimedia companies. We have composed music and created SFX for well know (german) games like Aquanox 1+2, Against Rome, Turrican (C64) etc.

We would like to support the 3d community with free music. As we have learned there are a lot of professional people doing their demo reels and animations but don`t have the possibility to add music and SFX to their demos. Both of us could take an advantage of a (unpaid for both sides) cooperation. You get professional music and we get some more references and nice 3d clips.

No, you are in the right place. Very nice offer and I'm sure you'll get some replies on this. Since you have the equipment, could you do character voices as well? I know many 3D animators want to add dialog to thier projects, but recording voices seems to be a problem.

Hey! A musician you don't see those often here. :)
Your the geniuses behind the Aquanox score? Oohhhh :)

What is your setup like?

Ah well now that we are offering. I compose stuff in my free time, always avaiable as long as it is all fun. :)

Here voice stuff:
Just some famous words pasted behind some famous music. :)

thanx for the warmth welcome!
We can do Voice Stuff but the main problem is that we have to hire professional Voice Actors with good voices. And that will of course cost some money. And as we would like to offer the community a free service this will be a point we have to discuss individually...

Yeah Kai Walter of Reflex Studio had done the Aquanox 1 and 2 Score. Really good work. The specialised press (like Gamestar, PcGames etc.) gave only highest rateing for the SFX and Music!

Here are some other new tracks from us: Chase_2003.mp3

Yeah, hiring actors wouldn't work. But I was thinking that if you had the equipment you could pull in friends or family to do voices for free. I think that's what Big Idea did originally when they were pitching Veggie Tales to distributers (and if I'm not mistaken, some of those friends and family members are still doing the voices on Veggie Tales).

Anyway ...

You had better give proper credit to these artists on your reels or short films. Offers like this don't come around everyday. Those who don't ruin it for everyone else and immediately get put on my personal list of "poopie people". :D

Thanks again conner2K. I'll be sampling your clips at work (when I have high speed internet).

Well with voices I might be able to help out. I know this voice acting... team. I am with them, I don't do voices a lot anymore. They basically voice anything worth voicing. then forum > SAVAGE
