great job

the last picture is striking, the pose is alarming

03 March 2003, 02:02 AM
stunning pictures! great work and unbelivable love to details.
a pleasure to watch them.
at least a question comes into my mind... how you'll animat these beasts? especailly the first/last?

03 March 2003, 02:04 AM
Wow! Thats some heavy detail going on! Love the models, excellent work!

03 March 2003, 06:20 AM
Holy! That's some great work! I'd love to see some higher res pics. I think this is frontpage material.

03 March 2003, 07:52 AM
really impressive detail...

my only gripe (sorry) is that the feet seem too small....

other than that great work.... :)

The Magic Pen
03 March 2003, 08:16 AM
damn good stuff !!

03 March 2003, 08:18 AM
Wow, 5 stars. Great work.

03 March 2003, 08:28 AM
wow nice work! very detailed. great job

03 March 2003, 08:30 AM
Very impressive - I like this piece a lot! :applause:

03 March 2003, 08:49 AM
Cool models, I've loved this and related styles since seeing that Bjork video. :buttrock:

About the feet being too small, is this character maybe a cybernetic skeleton without skin? If so, this may explain the apparent smallness of feet.

03 March 2003, 09:05 AM
Great picture... say the 2nd one is that the robot's skin?

03 March 2003, 09:45 AM
 NICE!!!!

03 March 2003, 10:17 AM

:airguitar :buttrock: :airguitar :buttrock:

03 March 2003, 10:22 AM
Freaky! The last one is simply brilliant! Are you goint to add some explicit textures as well, or keep it clean like it is?

03 March 2003, 11:16 AM
indeed a very talented work.

03 March 2003, 11:17 AM
damn your the technicall master!!..damn.. what sort of modelling did you use.. ?

03 March 2003, 11:17 AM
Increadible. So much detail. Everything looks so functional. I luv the shapes you represent the rib cage area with.

03 March 2003, 11:18 AM
Excellent excellent work. When I see art as good as this it always shows me how much I have to learn.

Thats two good robotic/cyborg front pagers in one day it almost made me give up on mine :hmm:

Only crit I can give is that the joint on the arm is going into itself. Perhaps add some joint restrictions so it doesn't happen? anyway you hardly notice it amongst all the detail anyway hehe.

Did you re-use bits that much?

Once again beautiful :buttrock:

03 March 2003, 11:44 AM
WOWwww!, that last bots detail is unbelievable good stuff!

Tim Deneau
03 March 2003, 11:46 AM
 There's some very interesting stuff going on in that third picture. Great modeling.

03 March 2003, 11:53 AM
First let me say that awsome work!

Then I wonder how you did it? Maybe a wire would be in order!? ;)

03 March 2003, 11:56 AM
Awesome stuff from Paris !
The third image is stunning, very good attention to the details.

03 March 2003, 11:57 AM
I figure I reply since I luv things of robotic nature. I do really dig the last pix of squatting bot.....I was quite surprised that you've render out a still with Mental Ray..I was expecting like "OK, another Brazil render".......but you threw me for a loopsy. Have u used other GI-like renderers?.......

03 March 2003, 12:23 PM
omfg, c'est trop ça

great work     :bounce:

03 March 2003, 12:44 PM
I always liked your works :)

03 March 2003, 01:12 PM
My Gosh!
its amazing!

I´m curious.... how much polys is there in this scene? :curious:
c ya!

03 March 2003, 01:17 PM
Nice work,

03 March 2003, 01:28 PM
very nice!!! :surprised :surprised

03 March 2003, 01:35 PM
the robot is very well designed, congratulation

03 March 2003, 01:38 PM
ehehe jme demandais quand tu te deciderais a poster tes superbes images ;) beau boulot!
la zazie la... c'est pour un clip?

03 March 2003, 01:55 PM
tres beau boulot !je me demande comment tu place et configure tes eclairages

03 March 2003, 02:00 PM
can we see your rig setup?

03 March 2003, 04:49 PM
That last image reminds me of a museum in England(or France?) where this medical doctor(or artist?) covered the de-skinned cadavers in some kind of preserving epoxy. Basically you could see the muscle and tendons really well. Anyways I like your model, I'm not sure if the head of the robot flows as well as the rest of the body but thats a subjective observation. Neat stuff!

03 March 2003, 05:44 PM

03 March 2003, 07:43 PM
Wow, wow, and WOW again!, I absolutely love the third pic, that pose is just awesome! And the technical aspect of the entire model is just :argh: Wonderful job. My *only* gripe is where the "hard" meshes penetrate each other. I think one was mentioned in the arm earlier and the one that stuck out right away for me is where the calf and the hamstring meet on the right leg (the area with the stripes) that can really get tricky ;) all in all:thumbsup:

You have received the CGtalk choice award .Please feel free to display this image anywhere you like! Incredible work.

upon receiving this award, it guarantees you a spot in the cgtalk gallery hall of fame ( - which you are now placed

P.S. Please email me @ for the award .psd file

03 March 2003, 11:57 PM
very well done!:applause:

T'es à la bourre dans ton trou perdu Pascal ! ;) Ca fait environ 1 an et demi que le clip est sorti ! :)

Excellent boulot, propre, et tout !

Au fait, vous avez pas utilisé poser pour des visualisations ou des trucs comme ça Thierry ?

Great stuff ! :)

03 March 2003, 04:04 AM
I love the detailling of this robot. It's getting to the point now that half of the renders currently saved to my download directory are yours. I'm still blown away by your environments.

Is there any chance you could post some close up shots of some of the detailing on that robot. I would love to see them :)

03 March 2003, 09:10 AM
I like your robots, is it possible to see the robots face?

Mr. Flop
03 March 2003, 10:19 AM
WoW ! really amazing !

03 March 2003, 04:45 PM
Well this one just plain Sucks!!! Everything from your intense model to your creative idea.

Just kidding this is very nice work.

03 March 2003, 10:08 PM
The modeling aspect here, and attention to detail in modeling is outstanding.

The only other crit I would suggest other than the afore mentioned is that I think the cable coming out of his foot anlog the side is in a precarious position for a bot who look like it could take on most challenges. A archilles tendon of sorts if you will. this is one of the firts things that hit me after gazing over perhaps three or four times. But holy cow this is some thought and elbow grease here. great stuff.

03 March 2003, 12:20 AM
wow... -je respire-
oulalala, je suis troué

c'est hyper impressionnant, parmis les plus beaux trucs que j'ai jamais vu:eek:

mais je rejoins une autre question, comment t'as fait pr animer tout ca?

03 March 2003, 12:23 AM
Amazing!!... Great design, excellent modeling, freaky detail...
The last one is a top-notch image!!.
Congratulations.

03 March 2003, 01:43 AM

03 March 2003, 07:02 PM

03 March 2003, 07:19 PM
Amazing work.

Do the hydrolics|pnumatics work when you pose or animate him? Is that the endoskeleton for the plated womans body?

Tony Richardson
03 March 2003, 11:18 PM
Great work! But are you ever going to reply to your own message? We would love to know what method of modeling you used to create this. Thanks

03 March 2003, 02:53 AM
Nice.....So nice...

03 March 2003, 04:56 AM
have you ever taken any physics or high level college engineering classes?

03 March 2003, 12:23 PM
thanks for your cool comments,i try to speak english,

this model comprises 1 milion facing (for low model), i used character studio for set up and skinning (very hard for the little pieces)
i create model in low definition (animate) and a model in high resolution (3 milions) for the static plan.

indeed animation was complicated and is for that which the objects return inside but the model animable is seen by far in the clip

the body is composed into 3 part , robotic, armour, and skin .

this artworks was made in 2000 .

Can we see this clip somewhere on the web?

03 March 2003, 10:14 PM
en cherchant sur le web tu devrais le trouvé (site officiel de zazie?)
