View Full Version : Make an object visible only to one camera

In 3DS Max 8.0, I have a world with multiple cameras. I would like to add a compass to this world that will always face north and be seen in each camera view. The way I currently have it is I have a compass object for each camera using a "look at" constraint to a dummy object to the north of my world. Then I have each compass object linked to the specific camera. The issue with doing this is I see the 20-something compasses associated with the cameras all flying around my world. So my question is this: Is it possible to make the compass only show with the camera it is linked to, and no other?

I am also open to ideas on how I can do the compass besides how I have it currently set up.

The game engine we use is Gamebryo 2.0.
