View Full Version : switching flows on and off with a slider

I'm animating some sort of cannon. It consists of 5 flows and they all work the same.
They create particles on a plane which then shoot particles out.

Now I want to be able to switch this on and off with a slider... I first tried to link the amount of particles that spawn to the slider... but this is not working since if they are born you can't kill them afterwards.

Then I added a split amount into the second Event and linked the percentage (100%) to the 100 units of the slider which then sends it to a delete event.

But this didn't work as well.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there an easier way to control all the flows with one switch?

Thanks for your help!

problem solved, added the split amount to the first event and changed the birth event to rate... to it constantly spawns particles that can be deleted by the split event.

now I can control everything with the slider :)
