Finish Ice Concept

Just read all the info regarding the challenge, and im in. Not an experienced Matte Painter, but enjoy the process quite a lot. Mucked around with it a bit, but never dedicated myself to a proper project. I have time off work this week, so this should give me something constructive to do. Looking forward to it :)

Awsome challenge. Kudos Dave ;)

That looks really nice, I like the idea of ice/snow too. Bet that will be difficult to draw.
Just noticed that there's a really long dinosaur tail in the pic, hehe. :D

first fresh idea I see , I think this would look awesome, but think real, if we can see the outside maybe we can see some other building there, just like A.I.( artificial intelligence) and that would look spectacular, just imagine some skyscrapers in the background over the sea as well

I'm definitly looking forward good luck

Alright, I've stopped mucking around and finished the first 2 stages properly.

Going to finish off the Ice concept soon (and I am gonna try add some cities in, like you suggested james ;)). Once I've done that I might (taking Daves' advice) do some concepts for a Jungle theme, a Lava theme, and maybe some sort of Egyption sorta style desert. Get a few options before committing to just one.

Once that's all done, I will pick one and stick to it.

Updates are on the first post.
