It looks cool, and appears to be well made.. but, its a space ship.

Space ships are known as a bit of a demo reel "no no".
Why? You can basically make any shape (within reason), and call it a space ship.

If you've made it for fun, good stuff :), but I don't think you'll receive much in the way of constructive criticism in regards to the design, or the build of the mesh(without posting wireframe views) - because, in outer space, anything goes.

I'm not trying to be an arsehole, if I'm coming off as one I apologise, spaceships are a great place to start, and can be fun to make, but if you want to be a professional, characters are a better area to work on.

 WOW, the Concept kicks ass.. Much more then the finished product -_^

The biggest flaw I see in your picture is not the ship but the space. The background draws too much attenion to it. Try something less agressive. How about just a dark grey (no black, please!)

I agree, the background is troubling...
also change the UV coordinates, as we can almost see the solid below it!

lovely sketch! is it yours?
made by pencil? really looks great

It looks good! But I agree, I like the concept art better :lightbulb

Ahhh, much better now...

The Texture looks a bit unfinsihed, it needs more work. For example look at the last image - you made the seam, where that cylinder intersects the main body darker which is good but you forgot to do that on the other side as well.
You have MUCH more details in the Concept. Also, I would get rid of the UV map stretching at the edges.
