I'm having a bit of trouble with a distanceBetween node setup and I was wondering if anyone has ran into this before:
The setup: Two polygonal objects which have had their transformations frozen at some point and a distanceBetween node.
The problem: When they're hooked up to the distanceBetween node, the distance value returned is the distance between their last recorded original world coordinates, not their new ones.
I'm pretty sure I've tried plugging all coordinate matrices to the distanceBetwen node (inverse Matrix, Translate, Xform Matrix etc.) and I still haven't found one that returns the correct distance.
I suppose one solution is to parent objects to locators and then plug the locators into the distanceBetween node, but I was hoping for something less messy.
Has anyone had this happen before, or is my processor just dim?
