04-11-2007, 12:33 PM

Hello everyone. I've finally and happily finished my demo reel from VFS. I'm graduating (ceremonially) in July, but I am looking for work now as a high-res character artist. I'm from the Boston area and am available to relocate. Enjoy, and please let me know what you think of it.

Hey man! great stuff! Lots of different models, good variety, cool to see it all finished!

I really liked your models - nice dramatic poses, too. My only crit is the Anthony Hopkins model: I think you could have pushed the wrinkles and lines a bit more - His face looks a little too smooth, although, it's still a very good likeness.

Sweet Stuff man, good luck on the job hunt!

Congrats Adam,

Great to see it all came together. Love the Ram. The pose totally rocks. :)

Hey Adam - that's a pretty fine piece of work you've got there! Lots to show :) Funny, my fav piece is actually the Dryad at the end

One thing that really bugged me is the knee deformation on the F.R.A.N.K character - the leg that's bent... he looks like you've just bent all the geo in the middle without actually taking care of the knee, feels too flat and there's no squareness to it...

A nice reel overall though and a point from me for using Radiohead :D good luck with the job hunt!

awesome work adam! good luck in your job search, cant wait to see hannibal textured and renderred!

04-23-2007, 02:23 AM
nice work man. How does it feel to be a graduate? Get that job jet?

05-14-2007, 05:12 PM
Thanks for the pointed critique, that's something I didn't notice until you said something.

Thanks. I actually decided that I'm going to be done with the Hannibal head. I ran out of time on the contest with all the moving and stuff at the end of the year. I'm going to be working on something new soon.

No job yet. I feel your pain. Hopefully one of the companies I'm talking to now will pan out. Don't want to be working at In-N-Out Burger.

@Potential Employers
Still available as of May 14th.

Well, nothing to crit here, this is superb work! Good luck on your job hunt!:)

Well done man. Im loving Code Name F.R.A.N.K...a very Half-Life2-ish design. I like it!
Anthony Hopkins is great except I do aggree with the comments about the fact that he looks on the young side. The new green lady is wicked...Id really like to see the concept art for that design. :-) Keep it coming

I enjoyed your demo reel :) Great work on the models. And definite bonus points on the song choice ^_^
