View Full Version : A problem of MR shaders

I have got problem with the MR shaders.IF I creat a mi_car_paint_pen shader in the Haypershade,I can't preview it on the sign of the mi_car_paint_pen.
And if I asign this mi_car_paint_pen shader to a polygon sphere ,Ican see it is red,but,it's color also changed with it's bse_color which in the attribute editor.but I can't see it in the Render view.
ANd there is no problem in another computer which with higher hardware quality.
Is there anyone know the problem witn my computer?
I am wishing the answer.thank you.

make sure you are rendering with mental ray not maya software -- otherwise, try linking a light map to the shader, like you would do with misss fast skin (though, i dont think that is neccessary) -- if you cant figure it out, look for a tutorial using this shader -- i cant help you past that...

Thanks for your reply,amannin.I use the same scene in another computer which with higher hardware quality,there is no problem.So,I think my computer maybe have some problems.

yaya! I got the same problem, everytime I use mi_car_paint_phen, I got only darkness on the assigned objects, and output window says "PHEN 0.4 error 051018: phenomenon "mi_car_paint_phen" root not found". It really frustrated me
