hi everyone

i hope someone can help me. i am new to maya and am using it at uni for my animation project (due in just over 5 weeks... yikes!!!). i cant quite figure out how to render (in particular i want to test render) scenes that i've animated. it always just renders a single frame. can someone please tell me how to a) test render in mental ray and b) render the final full quality animation in mental ray? many thanks in advance for any help.

well to render out frames u want to set th frame range in the render globals thats first
then set the naming to (name.#.Format) then choses a formate ie tga tiff what ever u need
do a batac see where its outputing to.

as for mentay ray you would have to turn it on in the plugin manager then select it in the render globals run that see what what u get then the fun par begins of tweaking MR an adding GI FG an other fun stuff

Hope this helps
