View Full Version : modify UV after Smooth blind

Hello~ i have got a trouble in UV. i moddify UV aftersmooth blind, and i see la lot of "Input" in the model i want to remove some but when i delete History will lose the skin weight, and i try to delete the non-deformer hostory, but the UV change like the picture below.

i have try "export Skin weight" to IFF by 2048 X 2048, but when i "import skin weight" the skin weight is different by before.

how can i do please?

yep....annoying problem :D
But you can "transfer" UVs from one object to another :)
Try this.
Other thing you could do is using zoo transfer weights /a script by ooooh the great Hamish McKenzie/ to transfer the weights after you change the UV.
But sometimes the first method is easier and faster.

You might also try "delete non-deformer history". I think it`s in Maya 7 and up.

transfer your new UV's on orig node of your skincluster mesh geometry and delete history..
before doing that make sure to check off intermediate geometry in attrib editor window..
