View Full Version : Animate in Maya and render with 3dsMax with FBX plugins...

I need to export characters animations from Maya (skinned with blend shapes, wraps, influences, etc.) into 3dsMax for rendering: i want to bake the animation of the vertices of the puppets due to the restrictions of the FBX plugins with lattices, wraps and other skinning tools then export to Max. Now the question is: can i export this type of baked animation from Maya to 3dsMax without problems?

Check out this page:
to see exectally what will pass from Maya to 3dsmax. Just choose Maya as the Source, and Maya as the target, and you will get a matrix of what features will pass thru.

Thanks for the reply, but i can't find what i need: probably it isn't a supported feature.
