View Full Version : Mirroring (Stacking) uvs with normal map

Hi I've been playing with zbrush and zmapper for a long time now. However I have never been able to mirror my uvs and stack them on top of each other while having the normal map working properly. Whenever I mirror and stack the uvs, one of the arms and legs will always be lit with the normal maps flipped inside out.

Is there anyone who has the same problem or know how to fix it? Please help me here!

you cant stack normal maps on top of one another, since normal maps have coordinate information in them. whatever normal mapping you have on one side cannot be duplicated by stacking the uvws. youre just gonna have to use separate maps
