Does anyone use Max 5's render to texture feature and implent it in any 3d/game engine?
When I use it to light a game lvl the texture quality gets poor and
the file size huge.
Perhaps someone could give me some tips on how they do it.

what are u baking the lighting onto a texture or what?

yes baking the light onto a texture within Max.
Well I'm baking a complete texture wuth light, shadows, spec etc..

At you'll be able to search for a script called "bakersfield". It's the MAX5 baker, just with a different interface and functionality. It offers, imo, a more streamlined and simple way of successfully baking things (mm, cookies?). For one thing, it doesn't perform an act of dryhumping on your already-laid-out UV coordinates like the default MAX5 baker does.
