Hi im new here,im doing a project and need some research material, will be grateful if someone here can give me some answer.

does anyone know how much polygons(low polygon model) they used in the game <gears of war> and <crack down>? for the main charactors and the number for the enemies,and if possible,how big is the texture for the model?

With 360 and PS3 developers can model from 10,000 to 100,000 although many of us use the normal mapping technique. It's easier aswell. Gears of war i would estimate arround 100,000 + in each scene easily could even been arround 1,000,000 + not sure though. There are some GOW devs on here. Trying to find them is the challenge.

A monster in Gear of War is about 5000 tris :) , high res to baked normal-map is 2.000.000 tris :D
