Hey not bad at all , thou im a bit confused at what your focal point is. My eye wants to go to the smaller rock right below the sun but the little water fall on the right keeps catching my attention. I think if you add a few more waterfalls there it will drown it out as being a focal point. , and when you crop those rocks you should try and go along with the natural curves of the rock , it will make it fit into the scene better. Really good for a first try!
You must have just watched 300 didnt you! ;)

hi, welcome to this forums, and nice work for your first matte painting, and animation , I liked the raining video, I think with sound the effects would be completed,
just some sugestions try to add more layers in roder to have better depth, and parallax
some foreground fooliage or tree's branches would help a lot
I think the rocs look too flat , try to work more on shadows and light so you get volume over them
keep up the good work

I know the sound fx its a good idea!! And i work in rocks to create a volume, becouse its realy flat.
If i add a fog, you belive it goes to be good?
And sorry my bad english language..

great work ! nice anim.
I also think your image could benefit from a bit more painted depth in the mid ground and BG.
This could be a cheap way of "opening" the image and make it less like if it was closed around us. That added depth would also help guide the eye in the painting by creating a "cayon" effect.
my 2 cents !
keep 'em coming !

Hi! I add more layer of rain fx, and move the montain of the center to back, and create a plants in front. now with sound fx included!
