well i just finished a script to rig a whole body.. and now thinkin of one for the face.. and i dont know much bt it.. i know people use clusters, blendshapes, and joints.. are there any other ways?? and another thing.. has anyone around here made an automated system to rig a face? a friend of mine has done a cluster based one.. and i was thinkin if anyone around knows any other ways..

You mentioned the main ways people are doing it -- joints, clusters, and blendshapes. Search the forums for Face Machine to see one template based system that's being developed, or go here:

Another, slightly more pricey solution is Face Robot: which isn't really Maya based, so the final result in Maya after exporting would be tons of intermediate blend shapes, as far as I understand it.

I haven't look around to see who's done it, but I'm guessing people are also playing with muscle systems, like Michael Comet's, to do rig-based facial.
