I've made a simple 2D MMO using a Java applet embedded in a webpage, but now I want to experiment a little with 3D development. However I don't really want to get caught up in the intricacies of making my own physics engine, so my question is this:
Is it possible to make a 3D MMO using Blender's game engine and/or python?

possible.. but ouch, the pythoning.. i think one could get hurt if not well experienced with it.. and btw this is something more suited for the GE forum at

What is a MMO? Care to explain those not in the knowing?

Whatever it is, Blender already have a Web plug-in. Maintainance for it have been an on/off affair, but I believe it is ON right now.

MMO stands for 'Massively Multiplayer Online'. Basically its an online game in which players can chat, play together, challenge each other, etc.

Thanks, I'll try the blender artists forum and see if anyone there can help me further.

as said in the bge forums you should stay off the first m (massive) as blenders game engine has it's limit, allthough possible. But if your pythoning is good enough the mo is very much possible, but still.. good luck. <--- go there and ask/search around firstly
