View Full Version : Combining displacement & diffuse passes from 2 diff renderers

Has anyone tried to composite a isolated displacement pass from a reyes renderer over a diffuse pass in another renderer like Mental Ray? I've just been thinking about trying to combine the best of both worlds and seperating out displacements seems like a tricky problem. Maybe I shouldn't be thinking about it in terms of passes ...

I'm also interested in hearing about other situations in which you have been able to combine the strengths of two different rendering architectures.
