View Full Version : flickering on large polys in viewport

I have exported an object which is pretty big units-wise into XSI and am getting severe flickering in the perspective viewport. Does anyone know of a viewport setting that can be adjusted to reduce this in the real time display?

Try changing the camera's Field of View.

It's not related to the FOV, but rather it's Clipping Planes of the viewport.

Try "Properties" of the viewport you are in, and change the clipping value of the "Near Plane".
Usually it defaults to like 0.1 or something.

Set it to 1.0, or in extreme cases even 5.0. ( depends on scale of your scene, and how far away objects are for the bounding region )
Also, extending the Far Plane can help.

Modifying the near clip plane fixed it up
