View Full Version : Light Baking in 3D Max

Hey guys,

I'm working on a scene thats pretty heavy on the lighting and taking a while to render so its looking like i'd need to use Light baking for the environment.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some good light baking/ render to texture tutorials on the net.

The scene is quite complex modeling and texturing wise and i've got quite a few lights in here so i'd be looking for a procedure that is more of an over all thing rather than having to work on each object individualy.

I'm using Vray for rendering but i'd appreciate tutorials for mental ray or scanline render aswell.

I've recently made one. It is designed for Ambient Occlusion in a video game enviornment, but similar stratagies will apply. Visit the tutorials section of my website.
