View Full Version : Flow along surface geometry

The idea is to present a flow of cells flooding along an organic surface from both directions and meeting in the center in a cataclysmic collision. I'm relatively new to PF and am not quite sure how to accomplish this. The collisions I think I've got handled, however, I'm unable to figure out how to get the particles to spawn on one side of the mesh and flow along the geometry to the other.

Use a mapped (Grey scale) or subobject selection Position Object, to control the emission position. Then use a speed by surface to get the particles to flow along the surface.

in addition get the demo of particle flow toolbox #1 at www.orbaz.com and have a look at the lock/bond operator ;)

it does exactily what you are up to do. the pricing for box#1 is 195 $ at turbosquid and worth EVERY cent!!!

kind regards
