gonna start to make the thing one object now and cut a few more poly's to have for the dragon and weapons

I really like the 2nd concepts you posted.
I have to ask though, were those done with microsoft paint?
02-13-2007, 11:01 PM
Made the concepts in photoshop using the line tool only, fee hand. Only to make the base idea without getting in details. At the 2nd one I hurry a bit.
Still I would appreciate your opinions about which character is better, but for the heck of it I will finish the first one now that I started it up.
Connected everything and working right now at a dragon sketch to start the creature from inside him. I think this will be a great asset to this.

I like the first one the best. And it looks like you already have a decent start on it.

Guess I'm almost done with the model, 100 tris till the 6000 limit, so a crazy dragon blade need to come somehow
going to leave the wings simple and let the texture do the rest same for the dragon teeths to recover a few more polys since the dragon took me a lot.

Just wanted to give a bump to my thread to say that I'm still alive here. Had a busy week but now I'm back to continue the progress.
Working at the head texture right now
03-04-2007, 03:43 PM
Darn I don't know if I have time. I can only work in weekend but I will try my best.
Anyway made a few changes to the guy since I have some big plans for the texture details
And started the head texture
Right now 6008 triangles, going to delete 4 polygons from somwhere later
and some other different hair style color, your oppinion is warm welcomed

done some progress with the texture
Try giving his right eye a deemer glow, perhaps another color. Right now it seems to merge with the glowing tattoo. And also toning down on the glow could help the design a little more. And the blue shoulder pad seems a little too distracting. Naruto fan? ;)

Almost done with the base texture, gonna start to enter deep in the details after ( scratches, dust, color corection etc )and play with the colors to see how it suits him the most.
the hair is just a placeholder
the belt center is just a base layer with a plain color
hope to finish this in time, sleep less

Dragon, wings unwrap + texture, model weapons, unwrap and texture then rigging to put him in a pose remaining.

I will not have time to finish the dragon too so I'm going to start to design and texture the weapons then hopefully finish the rigge tomorrow as soon I reach home.
As for the pedestral gonna start to do that in my launch break time, 1 hour will be enough for it...
03-27-2007, 03:22 AM
Ahm the time here is 6:16 in the morning, didn't had time to sleep to finish this, but I'm happy that I made it in time even if I hurry with it in the last day.
Didn't had time to texture the dragon head to but here is my entry:

[B]Beauty Shot 2[/IMG]

Turned out to be a great bad ass character, i love it, goodluck ;)
03-28-2007, 05:12 AM
I really like how it turned out, it looks really great. If it's taken into concideration that you didn't use normal maps, yours is probably among my favorites that I've seen! Normal maps really pump a model up to the next level though...I wish I knew how to make them haha. Good Luck!
