View Full Version : Recolouring photo texture

02 February 2007, 02:30 AM
Hi all

I need some advice from anyone who has some experience working with photos to make photoreal matte paintings. I am trying to take images of trees and make them blue. At the moment I am just creating a clipping mask over the photo of the trees, filling it with the right colour (leaving the clipping mask on normal blend mode) and setting its opacity to around 80. However contrast is obviously lost when you do that, but I don't know how else to give my trees the right colour. Can curves do it? Does anyone know where I can find out about curves if that is the answer, coz its one of the only things I don't know how to use in PS.

I eagerly await any response!!

Thanks guys and girls!
