View Full Version : Human (Male) Torso orthographic help!

Hello all!

This is my 1st post here and am in need of some help. I have an animation project due in at uni in about 2 months time. I am hoping to do it all in Maya (New to the software) and i really need to model a human torso (that I can tweek to look like an android). Problem is, I cannot find any orthographic drawings of a male torso and wondered if anyone here can help? I could try drawing one myself but its been years since I last attempted human forms and it has to be very accurate to work in orthographic, so I thought I'd put out the call for help. Thank you so much, in advance, for any help.

Thanks for the link. I couldnt find any usable images and most of the links are for sites you have to pay monthly to join (can't afford the fees right now sadly). Can anyone supply links to any free images? Thanks again.

Here's a website that has pretty much any kind of human reference you need, if you want to save a lot of time from searching the web. Problem is, it's not free:

What I like to do is look for shots of action figures, models, etc. because a) there are lots of them, b) they're free, c) you can find images of people/characters, animals, monsters or whatever with a lot of detail, posing in many different ways from many angles.

Check these out and then go from there:

From those sites you can link to TONS of detailed model/figure images.
