I am joining!

I will be working at home during the weekends then I'll update them around next week as I have no connection at home and no scanner.

Hope to start modeling perhaps around next week soon.

Okay, here's more sketches I produced. Color coming soon.
SO... I developed those thumbs and I got this armored crustacean looking monster.

But in the end I decided to go with a human instead :D
Here's the final rough design.

Hey, nice work. I like the creature's look, it can b very interesting to work on if u manage to make both of them like in blue dragon, main character v dragon behind, ha! Good luck!

the armor and helmet design looks cool though. may be you can integrate some of the details into the human design.

Here's the colored version. The red pattern is an example of the patterns on his sleeves and "skirt"

Starting modeling now. :D

HEy I like how the design is headed. What are you thinking about for weapons, swords, guns, missile launchers. He has a feel of a crusader, almost futuristic templar feel... it might be a cool idea to do a little research on templars and Freemasons and maybe see if you can take some of they're design and symbols and implement them into yours so you can add more detail into the armor and maybe the weapons you'll be making.

After so long, here's the lowpoly version (which looks plain right now :sad:. Still needs more tweaking but I'm starting on the normal maps first before time runs out. I hope to finish in time......

Yeah... weapons... Please be patient and let me return to my hometown to work on my pc for the weekend, as now I'm working on a laptop and it's not a fun experience at all.
I will scan the final weapons design while I'm there as well :)

Current poly count is around 3500 tris, 500 more for tweaking later :D

I really love the character deisgn and the progress so far on it.. looks really promising man.. has lots of character stored in it too.....

is 3500 the tri count or the quads count???

Sooo... Here's the latest update.
There's not much time now.

Needs lots of tweaking on the textures and normal maps as they looked pretty messy right now. Still a beginner at normal mapping. I'm so far left behind everyone.

Hope to finish in time.

Still tweaking the textures, normal maps are messy (still a beginner).
Here is his weapons :P Rigging soon so I won't do it last minute!

Heh nice work u got there! Not exactly my style but its nicely done. The textures could use some variation? And yer eyes is kinda giving the deadfish look. Add oil!

I'll fix the eyes when i start binding :)
