View Full Version : Individually Select and Kill a Particle?

Hi All,

I'm wondering if theres any way to individually select and delete a particle in Particle Flow.

Assume you've set up a particle system, and its all behaving perfectly except for just one or two particles that you dont like... I'd love it if I were to be able to just select and delete the weirdo particles and keep the rest that are behaving just the way I want them to.

you can! i'm pretty sure this has always been in pflow. all you have to do is select your PF_Source object, go into 'particle' sub object mode and select the particles you want to kill. then place a delete operator in your flow and set it to 'selected particles only'. you can put the delete operator in the event your offending particles are first born or as a global operator (in the pf_source event along with the render node)

also you'll probly need to have your viewport % set to 100 which might be a problem in a massive flow.

You rock man - very easy and simple solution, right under my nose the whole time.

I award you 10 points.
