Keep up the good work guys!
02 February 2007, 01:48 PM
this is looking wicked.. i like the direction you are heading with this..
02 February 2007, 12:13 AM
wow man... love it. looks like he'd actually win a battle. keep'em comin'
02 February 2007, 12:17 AM
i would do something with the other arm, have a demon baby growing out of it, give it a gun or something, looks unbalanced, im all for assymetric designs, but he looks like he could type over. if not on the pose, he should look like he rests that one arm on the floor like a gorilla.
02 February 2007, 12:19 AM
it could infact that his mechanical arm could be lighter, but it is very detailed compared to the other and gives a sense of much more visual weight as far as the composition goes

Is the little bat/gargoyle thing on his head like a pet? or is it part of the armor design?
Pets are awesome, it'd be neat to have a little companion guy with your shadow heh.
Looks awesome though, can't wait for more.

Great concept as far. May be you should get rid of the light in his head he looks like a miner :) And do something with shoulders, it seams to huge for this torso
02 February 2007, 09:58 AM
That's some quality shit man! Too bad I will have to crush you ;)
Nice to see you on the battlefield though, good luck!
Maybe his legs are a bit short....

Great concept ... i love the samurai-like-look a lot!
Good luck to you :)
02 February 2007, 08:27 PM
The thing with all the sword reminds of me of the concepts for Shiro in guild wars.
I thought about the plate with the skull hanging down from his waist. Better if there is two plates on each of his sides rather than one in the middle? Its probably pretty difficult running as is it right now:)
Colors works perfect, and he really suits with the ancient theme. Best luck.

nice work! he certainly has that 'elder' look!
02 February 2007, 06:57 PM
Realy nice, and it realy gets that ancient look! Looking forward to see what will happend to this concept.
02 February 2007, 07:17 PM
Hey, thanks for all the encouragement!
I havent had time to work at this guy at all last week
But I just sat down and begun my first 3d-mockup.
The plan is to work this first 3d-concept some more and then resurface it and add some heavy duty gear and armor.

Some comments on this design would be greatly appreciated... still hade the blockout for the left (mechanical) arm to do, and his weapons.

Well, I think that I've finally come to terms with the design for this character. Still, feel free to add any comments you may have! :)
Now it's highpoly from here on, until the end of the week at least.
03 March 2007, 12:35 PM
Just getting started, only a couple of minutes work on this as of yet. :)
I feel a lot like Im just talking to myself here, is there an interest for WIP-images like this or should I just put the thread on hold until the highpoly is finished?

Nice progress. Keep it up.
The new helmet design is cool, but I liked the previous one better.
