Namaste Yaar... Thanks for all your well wishes... Yeah I will try and give my best possible for this war... Hoping you will come in too. Thanks for taking interest in my post and replying... really appreciate it...
Well I hav been sitting out a few hours a each day and trying to get a better hang of my drawing and PS skills... (U can see I am not good of an artist and kinda still new to PS) well here is some update on the character... and some info on it too...
Basic inspiration source for my character is The protogonist from Prince of Persia series and Kratos from God of War.. these guys basically dont look that strong but can take on any given colossus, fast and toughest of foes and bosses and even take on hordes of enemys and do those clevery and flawlessly executed stealth kills (Assasination) My character will hav these characteristics... he is gonna be fast and agile and plan his moves according to the situation calls... a thing that is only meant to fight and kill.... so he doesnt has a much of a face... he has a armor that covers his front but none that covers his back as no foe of his can attack him from behind they will face him straight head on... He has a huge knives on his rite arm that come out when there are lots of enemies and when the situation calls for it to come out... and he carries his two basic Knives/ guns on his back waist for long range and to execute those assasination kills.
Still working on the concept.. plan to finish it by monday would love to hear ur comments and suggestions on it.

02 February 2007, 08:44 PM
yeah I hav started working on it... here is the progress so far....
The body has started.. and also there was a block out of the upper armor.. but I am not ready to show that yet...
Basically also the concept went through some (minute) changes :P... I was totally thinking assasin's creed this time :D....
Jus some wire.. not really needed to show for the highpoly.. but anyways...
02 February 2007, 09:17 PM
Are you talkin to yourselve lately? :D Nice hi but the muscule definition is not quite acurate in ome places. on final model it will not be visible then no bother of this ;)
02 February 2007, 04:36 AM
ha ha... well it was kinda getting a bit lonely in here :P.... I was replying to imtilongchar and the forum members who were chking my thread :).... yeah the muscle form wont be visible much but I would really like to know wht muscle forms are going off :).... I am still working on the body... working on the back... the hands havent been touch.. so are the legs... need to put some quiet more effort in other areas like chest.. abs .. arms neck... face needs to be detailed too.. hoping to do all this today when I get back from work... Thanks for the comments...
02 February 2007, 09:40 AM
Nice concept buddy, the hipoly is pretty cool sofar,I'm sure you'll be fixing the forms we discussed and tighten it up a bit in further divisions:thumbsup:
Looking forward to updates:D
02 February 2007, 10:33 AM
Hey man, dats a lovely piece of work. The concept was bit unclear, but now the model speaks a lot.Great work.Keep going.waiting to the see rest of it.
02 February 2007, 07:47 AM
Anki, this is sweet man, very nice modeling. i have also started with the modeling part, working on the low poly first. will post some W.i.p, A.s.a.p.tk cre.
02 February 2007, 04:50 AM
very cool concept jesuisankit, and sensible(re: functional) armour design too:thumbsup:
good progression on the model as well, but i'm a little curious as to why he hasn't got any kind of mouth? what's your polycont at so far?
02 February 2007, 04:37 AM
looking forward to see ur model imtilongchar
sry for the late reply ScudzAlmighty ,.... was pretty occupied with some family stuff.... I am glad you like my progress so far.. abut the mouth ... yeah there is a reason to it he doesnt has much of a face.. basically he serves his masters "the ancients" and is the ultimate killing machine for them... he objective is nothing but to serve them.. he wont question and wont answers to anybody.. he jus does his work... I am planning to hav a blue texture for his body.. and that is gonna be his first armor... the face is a mask is an extension of that blue skin armor the spike like ends are gonna be dark indicating 'evil' which he has diverted away from his body... so his face is always hidden by that skin mask and nobody actually knows wht person lies within... the poly count somewhere around 400k for the body mesh...well I am doing the highpoly model first and then will go for the low poly...
So far I was able to build some block out for the all the accessories and the armor.. will post an update on it very soon as soon as I make feel it more concrete... :)
02 February 2007, 11:32 PM
Got some basic update... you can see some basic blockout I did for the armor.. and for my understanding too and to continue each part from there one.. i am kinda done with the cloth that covers his face (not quite sure abut the way its flowing in the back maybe I will change it )... the chest plate.. some finer things are still left for it.. again I am not too sure.. and the shoulder guard... I will be doing the left hand armor next.. and continuing so on... will love to hear wht you guess think abut it :)
02 February 2007, 06:06 AM
Thats a killer update dude,I like his chest plate. Its coming along very nicely
My only crits at this stage are with his shoulder plate and the cloth. The shoudler plate is kinda too thin and doesnt feel strong enough...maybe you can make it thicker. His cloth looks great from the front, but the back part needs more refinement.
02 February 2007, 07:15 PM
Hey Sri .. thanks for the comments man.. maybe I will redo that lion plate.. yeah I guess I will.
Here's some small update basically done with the Rite Weapon arm of the character... well the weapon is still left alrite :P... also done with the abs plates below the chest plate. hope you like it so far... and would love to hear ur comments and crits on it so far...
02 February 2007, 07:22 PM
Nice updates on the armour,I like it..keep posting
02 February 2007, 10:04 AM
Ankit, wow! thats some work man. :buttrock: Damn , :banghead: i haven't done anything the whole weekend, have to kick start the work. have a lot of catching up to do.nways keep doing the good work.
02 February 2007, 02:21 AM
i would say that considering the awesomeness of this model and the incredibly detailed explantio as to his lack of mouth, i can definatly forgive the lateness of your reply:thumbsup: i hope you can forgive the lateness of mine...
the lion head looks particularily good, although it also makes the charcter seem very human, or at least that his masters are human, i dunno, i don't think it should be changed i just didn't realize that was the case and if so maybe there should be a few other things that suggest this as well? or you could just ignore me altogether, your call...
02 February 2007, 06:25 AM
Hey Scudz thanks for the comments man.... I would love to hear your suggestions on concept or ideas.... :)... somethings hav been going on with the design... yeah the lion plate makes it look more human or a tribe that is like humanlike... basically I was seeing for some major thing that kinda shows of backgrounds of his masters tribe... and to make them look strong I choose a lion ... abut the design chagnes that were going through my mind.. I was kinda unsatisfied with the shoulder plate and will be doing changes it to and also the forearm armor that was done.. i hav a new design which is at home and will post it with some updates tooo as soon as I reach home. Basically will try to keep the style balanced through out the body which was feeling so at the present moment..
02 February 2007, 08:19 PM
as promised I hav some updates for today... not much.. the arm armor was redone and the weapon is done as for max... (muddy touch still left to both :P)
sketch that was done for the forearm armor...

i think the biggest thing i could suggest would be to stay consistant with shapes, for example: the belt buckle thing is very cool, but does it look like it was designed by the same society that designed the chest armour? also, if he bends over forwards, won't him impale himself on that top spike? it's a cool shape so maybe you could change the belt around it so that it's a mold instead? kinda like this:
as for the left arm, i would like to see you go back to the original design from the concept, except have the plates wrap around the arm.
for his shoulder, i think the armour you had was pretty good, just stylized in a way that doesn't match the chest piece, i'd have to put more thought into it, but i wonder if there isn't a way to merge the lion motif into the whole piece in way were the head is there on his chest with the mane actually spreading around to his left shoulder, an arm in one place, and a leg in another? hmmm, maybe a leg for a boot...
and lastly (yes, there's more), the new armour around his right arm looks really good, but it also looks a bit like a claw around the top (see above), what if you modeled it so that it appeared to be a claw grasping his arm? with the fingers up by his elbow and then flowing into the shape you have now as it gets closer to his wrist?
-edit- ooh! if the right arm starts with a claw at the elbow, maybe the left could end with one at the wrist?
anyway, these are just some quick idea's off the top of my head, and i'm sure you'll come up with something much cooler
can't wait to see the results:thumbsup:

Wow!!! Thanks for the Ideas Kristian... First of all they all are really cool... so thanks a lot again :)...
I really like the idea of having a belt wrapped around than jus having a plate that will poke through his belly :P... yup consider it done. as for the shoulder armor I am gonna jus make it more plane (without giving an idea of having a head in that) and more believeable to part of a same armor workshop ... I was thinking as to how I could bend the chest plate and the shoulder plate... got a few things off some cool refs too.. but as I want him to me more agile I guess I will hav to skip that...
Claw grapping the arm.. well its suppose to be an onimusha sorta device that gives the character most of its power.... and showing it as a claw suck to the arm yeah it would look pretty cool and make sense too... yup I will look into that too.... :)
finally thanks for taking out time and looking into my design and giving out flaws and suggestions on it.. really appreciate it and looking forward to hear more from you.
