Concept down by Josh Gaskin. Amazing Concept artist. Look out for this guy.
We shall fight, We shall win! All this on behalf of CGSociety! Unite brothers and sisters! Together we can defeat these villains that falsley claim our worlds!
Out of kindness we have allowed them to dwell on our lands and have even turned a blind eye to their idiotic and childish behavior. Their recent acts, however, cannot be overlooked! As they look down their noses at us and claim our lands and demand we serve them, we shall strike back and show that we are not a race to be trifled with. We ask, nay demand that these infidels be silenced and so begins our crusade, our holy war, against these lowly pests!
So with that out of the way, let's ROLL!! Admins, I deeply apologize for posting threads in the wrong area!
Concept will come shortly!

He walks the shadows without hesitation. These places are his home. Violence and death do not bother him and fear is not a word he understands. His whole objective is to attack and kill his enemies.
Crossing over the tops of buildings with ease, the shadow assassin comes to his destination overlooking a large street. Flipping the strap that keeps his daggers in place, the assassin slides one free of its home and casually flicks his wrist sending the blade arcing through the air only to imbed itself in the side of a building across the way. The assassin pulls on a rope that is tied to his belt and the dagger's hilt to check on its security. With a nod, the shadow leaps off of the building he was on and swings to the building his dagger is imbeded in.
With the skill and experience of years assassinating, the shadowy figure scales the building and grabs a hold of his dagger. Wedging his feet in place he gingerly slides a long cloth from his back. Using his free hand and legs the assassin unwraps a large sniper rifle and prepares himself for the enemy commanders convoy...
Any crits would be great! Thanks for reading and viewing! Cheers all!

I think your concept of the character is a good start, but you need to concider how your character would deal with opponents that are not your run of the mill millitary types, prone to being sniped. Give your character a weapon that is aincient yet has great design and power, follow it up with close combat weapons or deadly design, also make his wrappings look bullet, rail, plasmer and depleted uranium proof.
Good start, will be keeping an eye on your thread... :)

I think you need to give you model more of the dynamic shown in the concept, which is brilliant btw. If you look at the shape of his thigh and how it tapers off towards the ankle, that would have to translate into your base mesh.
Cool work, should be watching this thread.

thanks for the reply! I see what you mean. I will fool around with it to try and get the same result. It is kind of hard to see but I built a kilt-like suit cat-tails material thing for him. Not really sure what to call it. I will try to utilize this to enhance the shape of the thigh as well. anything else?

So far this is looking sweet; especially the choice of weaponry... the sniper rifle fits perfectly! After the contest, you should build a little environment for him?
