Probably a little stupid qustion. But here goes.

How can I hide the things under the layer which are not animated.

would be helpful if you be a bit more precises about the 'things'
if you want to undisplay the coloums of opacity, rotation ans hit the '^'-button another way would be to read the online help or the manual.:surprised

For example. if I just want to display the postion of the layer.
I have seen comp files that just shows the animated properties of the layer. Just canīt find out how it is done.

Select the layer and type these:
p = position
t = opacity
r = rotation
e = effects
a = anchor point
s = scale
m = mask

And to hide the layers use the shy tracks, first set them to shy by clicking the face icon in the layer and then hit the big button in the timeline to hide/unhide all the shy tracks
