View Full Version : How can I keep occluded UV data?

SO this is a test, im trying to replace the texture on particles in post. I use a texture node and I replace all the particles on it. Unfortunatley, the uv data is occluded and I'm looking for a solution to this. Is there away to render the occluded UV data in the image?

Can anyone help?

I'm not sure how to answer your question, but couldn't you achieve that in your 3d software? Simply by blending between two texture maps, animating the blend value (or rather blending the maps based on the particle's age)? That would eliminate the need for such complicated measures.

...unless you're doing something that cannot be done with the aforementioned method, though I can't think of any situations off the top of my head.
