Has anybody had any success with XFrog plants in XSI 6? The old import plug-in doesn't seem to work and I've also failed to get any but the very simplest obj. versions in. The obj. importer seems to choke on the uvs.

Try Guruware's .obj plugin.

Gemoetry import into V6 is rough right now.

Xfrog released an importer for his own XFR files for XSI

Besides, you may want to try this openSource tree generator

Yes, this is the old importer that doesn't seem compatible with XSI 6. Am I wrong?

Old Xfrog importer works just fine. You need to put XfrogImporter.dll file in your User/name/xsi6.0/application/plugins/ folder.

At least I can import geometry....I didn't check UV stuff and textures.

I think this was also issue in xsi 5.

Maybe:
Or if this doesn't work for you maybe you need those Microsoft NET Framework stuff or some c++ library......recently I installed max 9 trial which updatet those libraries..even Windows update website did not offer me any updates.

bye!

I've been trying it in the plugins folder, same as in other installations of XSI on previous machines, but I'm getting a "library not found" error message on startup. This is a new install of XP SP2 on an HP workstation. What could it need to run the plugin?

You're not alone, I'm getting the same library not found error.
