View Full Version : Expression Application Problem

02 February 2003, 06:03 PM
Ok, So I wrote 2 expressions to controll Lights. If a lever is pulled (or rotated rather, since it pivots on its B axis) passed a certain point the Greenlight's Diffuse is 100...and If its before that point, the Diffuse is 0 and the Redlights Diffuse is 100. Here are my 2 expressions...they do work..thats not my problem...I don't think atleast.

[latch:Layer2.Rotation.B] < 1 ? 100:0
[latch:Layer2.Rotation.B] > 1 ? 100:0

My problem is that when I apply one to the Redlights Diffuse Channel..It applies the same expression to the GreenLights Difuse channel..I can't seem to have different expressions for the different diffuse channels...Please help..if this makes no sence ill try to clarify...

Do you have 2 different lights in your scene, or are you trying to affect just the red or green part of the diffuse channel for 1 one light?

Also, looking at your expressions, it looks like the second one should be

[latch:Layer2.Rotation.B] > 1 ? 0:100

if both expressions are supposed to be on the same light.
