i am trying to figure out how to create some mathematically based shapes in maya.
i am by no means a mathematician and do not know even how these shapes are created or what they mean. but i think they look cool and i want to create them in maya.
i am looking for a way to automate this or get them in a format that can be imported into maya.
i have a program for macintosh called 3D xplor math which creates shapes with names such as
heneberg, enneper, lopez etc.
this program can export as .obj but when i try to import into maya. nothing shows up.
if anyone knows of a program that can create these shapes and are then exportable to maya. or some other plugin or something that works in maya, please let me know..
