hi pals

Here's another ugly alien more from me :p. This is a low polygon model with less than 2500 polygons. The texture sheet is in 1024 pixels of resolution for the body a 1024x512 for head. The model have no filling errors in texture.

A nice view for this ugly alien.

I hope u like as me. It is a peculiar design... extrange... but humanoid.

beautiful textures and design. bravo! my only comment would be that the textures in his upper chest have very distinct etched in lines that break up his body in bendable spots that look absolutely stunning . maybe you could add in some of that area where the legs meet the crotch area? at the moment it doesent seem like it could properly bend in those areas and maybe a bit around the horns on his arms just to keep design consistant. this is just nit picking though. keep it up!

What programm you used for this Textures?

And what hardware you have used? (mouse or wacom or so)

BTW: I love it ;)

The model was done in 3ds Max and painted with a wacom graphire 2 in photoshop.
I have p4 1500 mhz with a gforce 2 mx so i do low poly :cry:. That graphic card sux sux.

Very very soon i will have a nice graphics card for work without polygon restrictions :)

nice model, awesome skin :) goodwork, thoe i think your GF2 can handle a bit more then 1300 polys, i'd love to see what you can do without poly restrictions

m-d-freezer: Yes, but with more clicks and more work :thumbsup: Maybe not so well as now, but almost.

here's a texture i've made long time ago... too much time ago... is the first complete skin for a low poly model i've made long time ago too.

think that you can do all with a mouse... but with more work and without the precission of a digital tablet. A wacom is a good inversion for the computer... If u have got an excellent pulse try it! the digital pen is for you!

I only have an awfull optical mouse :(

It lags when I klick and drag.

I can never draw a straight line with this :annoyed:

I think I will get a wacom too in hope of better resolutions

m-d-freezer, i recommend you to buy a Wacom intuos 2 A5 regular or A4 regular usb if you have space and enough money. A Graphire 2 is an excellent election and too cheap.

Nice even polygon layout, and your texures are beautiful... almost more so as a 2D image when you can appreciate the lighting and detail!
I do agree that his crotch seems a little week in terms of seams that are prevailent in the rest of the body.

If anyone wants to see a pic of the gun ask it. The gun have 1010 polygons exactly and a unique texture. The polycount of all the entire escene is less than 3200 polygons.

really, i dont know if i will export it to a player for unreal torunament 2003... in the case of yes, i will give him more detail in some parts such us the shoulders... Anyway, i should see interest in people to play with this model.

I'm looking actorX and it looks easy but to slow... biped is a truly jewel in the exportation :P.

Here you can grab a simple animation with the model. I hope you like it. It's only a simple mesh deformation tesh (the render is max scanline)

Right click, save target as and rename to cinder_divx5.avi

the reason of this trick is for elude the nuisance of my host with his stupid download engine. sorry for the rename :P

ups, i forgot to say that the video is only 350kb and requires divx 5. The resolution is 640x480 and the length is about a few seconds.

i'm other forums people prefer blue also. I like both them, but i will choose the blue also for my upcoming portfolio.:)

This is amazing work yet again, I prefer your last piece but you truly :buttrock: at low poly modelling, is this all you specialise in or do you dabble with high poly models from time to time ???

Samartin: i also do high polymodesl. I'm now making one and then reduce the polycount to 8000. It will have the technique of normal maps, that trick showed in halo2 o doom3 models.

One of the reason of i do mid-poly is my machine... :(. it's too slow and hard to model detailed models in a slow computer. well, i will have nicer models soon.
