Im not sure where Im gonna go with this or how much is going to be 3d or 2d. I think eventually I replace the sky and add probably a 3d foreground element and may change the for groung lighting scenario abit. For the most part I just set perspective grids and painted for about and hour or two so far. I will add more in the morning, Im just too tired to stay up more.

Get to work before the summer comes and the Arizona heat fries your brain!
I def. have thought about these sketches alot lately while working on my "temple in an alien jungle" piece. That's an awesome plate. and the sketches really give a good sense of what you're about to do.
You might want to think about changing the sky out for a more sunset or dusk like setting. Take a look outside at around 5:30 AZ time.
Please do post smaller images though. :D

I have shelved this one for a week or two while I work on another shot, not that I dont like this one but since Im making my own schedule I can be flighty about what Im motivated to do. As for the sky I will replace it I have a number of AZ sunsets that I shot with my Nikon that Im gonna drop in there to replace this sky, I also may change the lighting to a peach tone. When I come back to this I will be working somwhat in 3d to create the general objects the painting in the extra little details.
PS I will try to make my images smaller.

Rather then making a new post, here is the current sketch I am working on, I will be building up the Foreground in 3d, which is why I havent put as much detail as the distant city.
