Cool. I'll be one of the guys walking around the "job fair" section trying to whore himself out. If you see me, have pity... :D

Is GDC a good place to find a job? I went to E3 last year and it wasn't very good. I also went to Siggraph and found it quite good with a job board and a chance to meet with companies that were hiring.

I went to the Seattle Sputnik meeting, and saw the pre-speeches of the president of Gas Powered Games (Dungeon Siege) and the President of Monolith (NOLF/SHOGO). I actually met with the President of Monolith shortly afterward and she mentioned they will be hiring more soon after the GDC. :applause: All in all the speeches were very good and informative. The final speaker talked about streaming games and what not. He talked a bunch of code/programmer talk it was then I realized that Sputnik is more of a meeting of programmers than 3D artists:surprised
...heh me and my Connan_Edogawa were pretty much THEE only artists at this meeting ...but it was still a great experience and I plan on going again.
One of the board members told me that they plan on bringing in more art speakers and recruiters that will do a Q/A on what they want to see.
hope to see some seattlelites at the next meeting!
