Great project and choice of character with which to get your feet wet :)

I think the scaley nature of the Kraken's skin will be fairly important in selling it.

its far from finished...and i had a crash at zbrushhh grrrrr..
scales will be i think the last thing to add...ill find some time to work on this at the weekend...

ok after a lot of crashes here's my kraken....not sure about this material...will try and take it over to xsi for some proper rendering...eyes are photoshoped atm, horns and theeth withened in photoshop too...will change that soon... (

Nice detail and bump mapping, I have also added some reference photos for you in the reference thread, may help on the materials/textures.
