Well, to start off with, there's Larry Schultz's video tutorial on spline patching here (http://www.3dtrainingonline.com/spline_tutorial.mov)
Then, there's Lewis' Spline Patching tutorial (http://220.127.116.11/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4936) (extremely long thread, but definitely worth the read if you can set aside some time).
Also, definitely check out Kier Darby's Whitestar Tutorial (http://www.ap3d.com/ws/tutorial/index.htm). It's been around a while, but still relevant and nice and detailed. Good luck. :)

I was amazed by Bachelorette's awesome model but am dumbfounded on how to even begin this kind of modelling.
I have a good understanding of modelling in general but don't know where to start with this method. Help ?
If you are just trying to get the basics down I would recommend mine. Its at http://www.splinegod.com/onlinetraining.htm
Check at the bottom of the page.
