Definitely check out these three ateliers, all of which have websites and can be found listed on

John Michael Angel Academy of Art, Florence

The Florence Academy of Art

Cecil Atelier (something like that)

I just posted a link ( in this forum about Daniel Graves, who is the Director of
The Florence Academy of Art. Check it out! :)

You're very lucky, have a great time! :)

I haven't heard of that school, but it's website ( looks nice - one place you might also post to find out more info. is here:

You can also always contact the school directly to put you in touch with a student that you might ask questions of - you might even request that someone from the school put you in touch with someone from your part of the world, since there may be specific things that would be really useful with respect to travel etc. from a fellow countryman. :)

Good luck! :)

There is the state accademy of Brera (milan, and sorry for the bad translation) that offers a course related to graphic (and multimedia): site

There is a private (and quite expensive) university near milano that offers a very good course about computer graphics. One of their students, once graduated, went working at ILM for Star wars movies... I cannot remember the name of the university right now though, sorry...
