Hi. I'd like to have some info on the workflow between Maya and realtime rendering engines, plus if you know some good realtime renderes that run on OSX.

Thats completely dependant on the realtime engine. But generally it involves getting a plugin for maya to export content to that realtime engine.

in maya 8, you can use your favourite realtime rendering engine in the viewport

they've opened the viewport so anyone can implement it's own renderer directly in the
viewport (would be nice to see those GI/raytracing game engines inside maya in the near
future hehe :D)

Btw in the devkit folder of maya 8 you have the source code of a direct3d based
viewport, but be aware it's just a basic implementation ;)
