View Full Version : character riggin problems

Sup there people,
I'm having problems on riggin my character...

The first is : how to know how much I have to limit my IK limits?

and the second problem, and it's the most anoying, is that when I make a null object to be the full-time IK from a bone, it lines to the center pivot of the character. I would like to change this line to the beginning of the bone arm...

Can any one help me??? or give me some character Riggin tuts?

1 - Trial and error are the best, I think... Anyway, I rarely use IK limits.

2 - Select the top bone arm (probably the shoulder) go to the motions tab and select 'Unabected by IK of descendants'

Virtual FM's right....I very rarely use angle limits on my bones. Too often the bone will reach the limit and then just stop like it smacked into a brick wall, which most of the time is Not A Good Thing (TM). :p Most of the time you're better off setting up a good pre-bend on your bones so that IK has an easier time of solving which way the chain should bend.
