View Full Version : Lume mist obscuring and HDRI background

I want to make a distance fog for a scene with mental ray, and I have assigned lume mist to the camera vol shader. The problem is that I have a HDRI image in the background, and the mist imposes itself on it, too. How can this be solved? or any other method for distance fog should be used?

What i found out is that distance fog should be made with the mental ray physical sky shader, in the camera's lens shader. You then set up the 'aerial perspective' option in the physical sky map. The result is a great aerial perspective effect, which is what I needed.
