View Full Version : Getting SubDs to render correctly

12 December 2006, 05:21 AM
I have a problem with some of the organic model meshes that I make. When converted to subdivision surfaces, I get at least one non-quadilateral face on my mesh. I know this because when I render with Mental Ray, it tells me this on the message area at the bottom. The result: meshes are totally invisible, as if they don't exist. I don't have this problem with software rendering, though.

The only thing I tried to do is use the Clean Topology command, and it seems to have no effect. Any other options?
