View Full Version : Creating normal maps in maya

I'm trying to figure out how to create normal maps in maya and I came across this tutorial for XSI. Is there a similar way of doing this in maya with floating geometery? Most nomral maps tutorial I have found for maya relate to the Zbrush-maya pipeline. If some could point me in the direction of agood resource for ceatng normal maps in maya that would be spectacular.

Just connect an ambient occlusion node to a surface shader and set the ouput mode to 2
